Gordon has been involved in Financial Services since 1994, originally as an agent with Pearl Assurance, and Britannic Assurance, before moving to the IFA sector in 1998 with a Glasgow based firm before opening his own firm which subsequently merged into R S Robertson Financial Planning (formerly RS Robertson & Co).
Gordon has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of financial planning, and is an expert in Pension and Retirement Planning.
Mike was previously a top performing Financial Adviser with Britannic Assurance based in Dundee. He moved to the Independent Sector in 2000 and by 2002 had established BLT Financial Services Limited with his fellow Directors.
In 2008 Mike resigned as a Director and took on a self-employed role with BLT Financial Services Limited, mainly dealing with his own extensive client bank throughout the UK and the professional connections he had established over the years, before taking up a similar position with R S Robertson & Co in 2013.
Mike is professionally qualified to provide advice in relation to all types of mortgages, including holding a specialist qualification to provide advice on lifetime mortgages.

Following on from a rigorous training period and successful graduation from the St. James’s Place Academy, Callum practised as a sole trader and found himself at capacity looking after clients all over the U.K. Advising on all areas of financial planning including Retirement, Investment Planning Inheritance Tax Planning, Protection and Corporate planning, Callum began looking to expand and enhance the high levels of advice, ongoing service and consulting provided to clients.
Looking for a likeminded business who operate on a holistic basis, always aiming for excellent client outcomes through trusted relationships with legal, accountancy and other professionals, the opportunity to join forces with RS Robertson was a perfect fit.
In addition to the industry approved Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Callum has continued studying in pursuit of becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.
Tim has been providing financial advice since 2000 as an adviser with Bank of Scotland Investment Service before moving to Hargreaves Lansdown as a Financial Practitioner for 7 years.
He joined St. James’s Place in 2010 as a Partner and recently merged Practices with RS Robertson. Tim is authorised to provide advice on pension planning, investment planning and protection and specialises in Inheritance Tax and Trust based planning.

Beverley joined RS Robertson in 2000, having also previously worked with Britannic Assurance in Dundee. Beverley was originally our Office Manager and now, in addition to Paraplanning, is our Practice Manager.
During her time with RS Robertson Beverley has successfully gained the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. In 2018 she also passed the CII’s Pension Transfers exam and is currently working on the supplementary units required to achieve the Certificate in Pension Transfers.
Beverley provides paraplanning support to our Pension Specialist, Gordon Laing and oversees the smooth running of our Cupar and St Andrews offices.
Kirsty originally joined BLT Financial Services Ltd in 2009, which later merged with R.S Robertson. She re-joined the company in 2015, looking to accomplish new goals and is now involved in the support of Gordon, Tim and Callum’s clients, predominantly in Pension and Investment planning.
She is Paraplanner Accredited with St. James’s Place and is currently attending the St. James’s Place Academy, as she works towards achieving the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Paula is married to Gordon and joined RS Robertson Financial Planning in September 2017. She worked in the banking industry for over 22 years and has extensive experience dealing directly with clients, delivering high quality service. Paula is based in our St Andrews office and oversees our client servicing schedule.
Olivia joined RS Robertson in September 2014 as our Administrative Assistant. Over her time with the Practice Olivia has gained invaluable experience and now feels she is ready to move on to the role of Sales Support Administrator.
Olivia will provide sales support to all of our consultants with particular emphasis on Mike’s mortgage clients, with whom she has become familiar. Olivia will be based between our Cupar and St Andrews offices.
Ellie joined RS Robertson in June 2019 as our Administration Assistant. Ellie is the first point of contact for clients and provides administrative support to the Advisers. She hopes to continue developing her skills and learn more about the financial sector.
